The purpose of this website is to provide information in Vietnamese regarding speech and language development, disorders that affect communication, and general principles to speech-language therapy. Our goal is to make the most updated information printed in English available to a Vietnamese audience. The information on this website does not substitute for quality speech-language therapy, but rather to begin a better understanding of communication and its related disorders. Seeking the professional guidance of speech-language therapists for specific individual cases is always recommended.
Through this website, we seek to provide general information in Vietnamese as well as in English on the areas of speech development, speech therapy, language development, and language therapy. In addition, this website includes information on autism, aphasia, cerebral palsy, cleft palate, Down syndrome, hearing loss, phonological/articulation disorders, and stuttering.
Speech-language therapy is a new area in Vietnam. It has been a challenge to collect all existing materials, translate them into Vietnamese, as well as cite original authors. Although we have tried our best, we realize there will be limitations to our work. Therefore, we are eager to receive your comments and/or questions to improve this website.
