Incorporate Viet Nam - Laryngectomee Humanitarian Project as a non-profit organization;
Development of an audiovisual program that can be presented to service organizations, businesses, and educations institutions in the United States.
Acquire statistical information related to the number of known Laryngectomees in the Da Nang City area. Determine how many of those are able to effectively communicate. Develop criteria for prioritizing and distributing electrolarynx devices.
Currently there aren't any resources for family members and Laryngectomees to acquire or repair electrolarynx devices in their local area, or to access any educational material related to Laryngectomees. We will investigate the feasibility of establishing a private or institutional site that can meet these needs. The private entity or institution will not be directly associated with this Laryngectomee Project. If the site is owned/managed by a private individual, we will assist them in acquiring financial "seed funding" to establish the business.
